Aaron graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan where he received a B.A. with Highest Distinction in Classics. He received a Master’s and Ph.D. in Rhetoric from the University of California at Berkeley where he was a Jacob Javits Fellow and a William and Flora Hewlett Foundation Fellow, and where his research included International Humanitarian Law. He received a J.D. from Stanford where he was a member of the Stanford Criminal Law Society and the Stanford Journal of International Law. Before joining Durie Tangri, he was an associate in the patent litigation group at Weil, Gotshal, and Manges where he worked on litigation relating to various aspects of computer technology.
Aaron enjoys patent litigation because the complexity of facts and law in this area combine to create a style and tempo of litigation that is both stimulating and demanding, with disproportionate advantages of efficiency and outcome going to the better strategist. Aaron’s practice at Durie Tangri is already expanding to include other types of intellectual property litigation.
